I鈥檓 going on vacation in 3 weeks, and I want a decent tan without TANNING LOTION. I hear it looks streaky and fake, and who wants that?
I have really light skin, and an hour and 45 minutes in the sun will burn me. Pathetic, I know.
So...does anyone have some good tips?
How about a tanning bed? I%26#039;ve always heard that they%26#039;ll give you skin problems and the like, but I don%26#039;t know if I buy into that.
3 weeks to tan, but I burn easily!?
Just go out in the sun with a mild SPF 15-25 sunscreen on, this way you wont burn and youll get plenty of healthy rays.

You can go to a tanning salon and get a spray tan...I am very pale as well and I don%26#039;t tan, I just burn. The lotion is usually very orange and streaky. I get a spray tan every once in a while and it turns out beautiful. Good luck!!!!
Reply:Even tanning beds can give you skin cancer. Its really very unsafe and unhealthy. If you don%26#039;t beleive it, go ask a dermatoligist.
Reply:Why tan? All tans indicate skin damage. You should see what skin cancer did to my dad -- they had to remove a huge part of his nose. Stay out of the sun and the tanning beds. You don%26#039;t need a tan to look good.
Reply:NooOO! Tanning beds are worse for you more so than the sun. The UV rays are more direct and closer to your skin making the damage spread more easily. Just use SPF 15-30 and reapply every two hours. You should get a gradual tan, and it%26#039;s probably the *safest* way- considering any tan is sun damage anyway
I myself have really light skin and burn easily, so I suggest doing it lightly and gradually.
And yes, lotion tans are orange-y and gross. : )
Reply:first of all dont ever go burn always use an spf uva and b sunscreen . But today in the drug store are great self tanners with instructions. Safe and easy to use loreal and neutragena are what I use. If you can spend the money clarins in the department stores are the best. Skin cancer damage happenens 20 years before it can show up from one little burn. Go get your self tanner and always wash your hands immediately after use.
Reply:im the same as you, i burn easy.
i found when i go on vacation i tan easily though.
i put heaps of sunscreen on regularly too and was out in the sun for intervals of time, maybe about ten-twenty minutes and i found i was tanned.
on vacation i didnt really think about tanning or try to tan but it happened anyway so...
tanning beds can be harmful but so is the sun.
my friend did tan in a sun bed but prefers the sun.
