do you have to clean it for? i aksed this girl who had hers for 2 years now.
(R)lil miss saff. says:
you don%26#039;t clean it.
hardly ever because all that cream and cleaning **** gets cloged up in the hole.
the woman who did mine has been a piercer for 25 yrs an she said if u clean it then
it%26#039;s not gonna heal.
that doesn%26#039;t sound right? i use sea salt and the spray that the piercer said to use.
help please.

Navel Ring Cleaning, help please. confused. %26gt;_%26lt;?
Idk,
if you can%26#039;t figure it out ask a doctor.
he/she will definately know.
Reply:I think I used the spray the piercer gave me for about 2 months, then I%26#039;d use it to clean it whenever the piercing hurt or got a little red. Just use the spray then soak it up with a cotton swab.
Reply:I used the salt when I got my belly button pierced 9 years ago and actually I had to wear a halo vest when I broke my neck and had titanium screws in my skull and the trauma center surgeon told me to use peroxide to clean them while I had them for three months.
Reply:i have had mine for 7 years when you first do it just pour alittle rubbing alcohol on it one time a day so it don%26#039;t get infected for about a week and then just wacth it make sure it don%26#039;t get real red and if it does do it for about 3 more days i know pouring that on it will hurt but its the best thing and after that you don%26#039;t ever have to do anything to it
hope this helps
ps. i dont mine myself and thats all i ever did with it and its fine and has been for 7 years
Reply:First of all,
DO NOT CLEAN IT WITH ALCOHOL!!!!
Alcohol kills the good bacteria that work to heal the piercing! If you use alcohol you will be much more susceptible to infection. Do your sea salt soaks twice a day and then clean it afterwards with antimicrobial soap or another gentle soap like Dial. You DEFINATELY need to clean it. Maybe what the person who told %26quot;lilmisscliff%26quot; said was not to work the soap into the actual piercing. You just want to clean the outside. Also, do not use peroxide either. It too kills everything working to heal your piercing.
Reply:warm water with salt...!!! great for EVERYTHING!
